Meet with recruiters to network, discuss internships and entry-level professional positions. Open to ALL CMU undergraduate majors, graduate students, recent alumni, and students from surrounding schools in Michigan.

The event is open to students from 9:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.

On-campus interviews conducted 2:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m. in Ronan Hall 240 - REGISTRATION THROUGH CAREER CENTRAL REQUIRED

Alpha Kappa Psi Career Day, sponsored by Alpha Kappa Psi Co-ed Professional Business Fraternity, Career Services, and the College of Business Administration, is a forum for making many contacts with recruiters who are offering challenging internships and professional entry-level job opportunities.

• Representatives will specify certain majors, however many recruiters will consider ALL MAJORS, therefore check the Career Services web site frequently to view the list of registered employers, review the latest updates, and research company information and job postings
  
• Prepare a one minute personal commercial and use it to introduce yourself to recruiters
  
• Dress professionally to make the best impression
  
• Bring a large supply of error-free resumes to the event to make multiple contacts with various representatives
  
  • To have your resume critiqued before the event, email a copy, as an attachment, to careers@cmich.edu (please allow at least 5 business days for the critique to be completed), stop in during walk-in hours or call Careers Services at 989-774-3068 to make an appointment
  
  Some employer representatives will offer formal on-campus interviews
  after the event. CMU students, if you are not already registered, create
  a Career Central (formerly eRecruiting) account and register online at http://cmich.experience.com/er/security/login.jsp. Remember, only CMU students who are registered through the Career Central system will be able to participate in on-campus interviews.
  
  Logistics for the Day of the Event:
  
  
  • No pre-registration or entrance fees required
    
  • Students with CMU parking permits are restricted to the lots that their parking permits allow
  • The student entrance is the west side door facing Franklin Street
  • Career Day participants will receive a printed roster of organizations and a site map on the day of the event
    
  • Doors open to participants at 9:00 a.m.
    
  • Event concludes at 1:00 p.m.
